We have a saying, in Portuguese, that qualifies January as a non-wedding-friendly month. It actually rhymes, as we say it, so it’s quite a catchy phrase. But the thing is… you never really can tell for sure. Portugal has a generally pleasant climate all year round, so January may very well surprise you, as you will see in this winter wedding in Lisbon.
Luís is Portuguese and Solvy is Venezuelan. They chose Lisbon to get married and scheduled the big day for January. As ADORO, their photographers, later said, it was a wonderful choice because the light in Lisbon was crystal white that day, so different from the usual bright sunny days, making way for some absolutely gorgeous images: «Gray days are also happy days. So may say this Portuguese-Venezuelan couple, that married in Lisbon on January. This combination resulted in a very romantic atmosphere, despite the wintery tones. A delight for our eyes, more accustomed to summer light.»
